Day 01:
Soraypampa - Chaullay.
Pick up 04:00 am from your hotels. Our transport will take us to Soraypampa (3,900 masl / 12,795 feet), before we will make a stop in Mollepata to have our breakfast and pay an entrance fee of 20 soles to the local municipality, we will begin our walk of approximately 4 hours climbing to the highest pass (4,650 masl / 15,255 feet), we can enjoy the most impressive views of Salkantay (6,272 masl / 20,577 feet) we will continue along the spectacular mountains and we will observe Humantay and Huayanay. We will also see small water ponds. After a 4-hour descent, we will arrive at our first camp in Chaullay (2,950 masl / 9,678 feet).
Day 02:
Chaullay “La Playa”.
After breakfast, we will walk to the river La playa. On the way, we will enjoy a pleasant tropical jungle climate and we will be able to appreciate coffee plantations, cocoa, coca, bananas and other fruits, including some beautiful orchids. We will make a short stop for lunch in Lluscamayu and continue our walk to the second camp.
Day 03:
La Playa - Hidroeléctrica - Aguas Calientes.
Early in the morning after our breakfast, we will take a local transport to go to Santa Teresa, and then we will continue walking towards “Hidroeléctrica” Here, we will have two options to take the train or walk 3 more hours to get to Machu Picchu we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 04:
Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) - Cuzco.
After having our breakfast at our hotel, we will take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. At the point of entry, we will present our original document and our tickets to Machu Picchu. The tour is usually about 2 hours, with our guide on the tour you can take photos. To get off, we will use the bus to "Aguas Calientes" and then take our train back to Ollantaytambo and continue by bus to Cusco, where they will be dropped off at your hotel.
It is important if you plan to visit the mountains of Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu to communicate to your agency.
